I just installed my new TIA-1350 skimmer. So far so good and it's very quite.
Load recommendations:

Light bio-load (375G)

Medium bio-load (300G)

Heavy bio-load (250G)

I'm running this skimmer on a 155g heavily stocked sps tank.
I upgraded skimmers because at the IEMAS Christmas party I won the raffle. I changed from an AquaC 240 skimmer

I have the one just below your ,cad light 1220. I love this skimmer. Does a great job, very quiet. I have had asm skimmers in the past, this one blows them away. It started producing brown stinky stuff in 2 days.

I ran a swc skimmer in the past and the cadlight is definetly built better. With the swc I had issues with the skimmer flooding. The cadlight skimmer so far hasn't changed on foam production. Foam stays consistant.

So far the cadlight skimmer is doing awesome. I'll give a better opinion of the skimmer in a month.

How's your bubble size in the neck? I've read great things about the build quality, but it seems to fall a bit short in some other aspects. I'd really like to know how it compares to your beckett skimmer. TIA

The bubbles in the neck are tiny due to the laser cut bubble plate. I laughed when I 1st read laser cut but the smaller holes do make a difference. With any skimmer you have to have it operating in constant water level. I have it running in 10inches of water. I wanna give it a good 30 days before I can give a comparison to the aqua c.

The best comparison as of now vs swc skimmer is the cadlight doesn't go crazy and flood when I add foods. My old swc had issues.

Where does it fall short?

quick update: The skimmer cup has to be emptied every 2-3 days which I hate.

The best thing is my overall temp has gone down 1 degree. Removing the bigger pump I ran with my aqua c skimmer my chiller no longer comes on. The highest temp my tank has reached is 81.

So far so good
