I have a 100g Cadlight Artisan II...very very please with the quality of the tank. If I ever upgrade again. I would go with the 150g Cadlights without any hesitation.

their ready made tanks are good. However the custom made tanks are hit or miss. Sometimes the silicone is good, sometimes it looks sloppy.

I have a cadlights custom 75. Have been very happy with the tank over 3 years. Cadlights gets lots of bad reviews overy customer service, but that was not my experience.

Thanks for everyone's feedback. I've been talking with cadlights and so far they've been really helpful. That being said I found an article from another reefer who had pretty much the same experience as me with friendly service. Once he pulled the trigger things went bad. I guess I'm too nervous to go with cadlights. I've tried to get in touch with crystal dynamics but haven't had a response back. Any other tank manufactures anyone recommends?

You need to go through a dealer (LFS) to get Crystal Dynamics tanks.

Eddie and Eric at Cadlights will take care of you! I can't wait to upgrade to a 150! This is the Artisan II 70 gallon.

I think all tank manufacturers have their horror stories including service. I also take those stories with a grain of salt because for some reason the "hobbiest" tends to never make a single mistake and happens to follow instructions to a T. =). I've seen CadLights Artisan tanks and can say they're build quality is pretty darn good. Not sure if the 125g applies, but the only common gripe is the Oflow holes are drilled out in metric so using anything other than the included plumbing might be a slight challenge. Also, the included plumbing wasn't the best out there. Eddie and Cadlights will be at RAP in a few weeks. He does take orders there and offers RAP specials to.

The nice thing about Cadlights is that if they screw you over and if you're local, you can cause a ruckus right in his face due to proximity. I've bought stuff from Eddie before and they were all good transactions, but I think distance plays a big part in that. He's gonna respond differently if you're there face to face with him than through email. I think most people who have trouble with Cadlights are out of state people who can't inspect the tanks themselves and just get the general runaround. Being local has the advantage that you can deal directly with them and they won't give you much crap.

Thanks guys for your input. The article I was referring to was someone in florida I believe. So your comment about out of state people was right on. I totally agree you have to take this stuff with a grain of salt. I'm so confused, I don't know what to do. Eric and Cadlights has been super helpful and friendly. I didn't think getting a new tank would be so stressful. I would be nice to see the tank in person, so I guess I'll have to go to RAP.
