Two posts removed without explanation, scary NSA type move. Apparently, if one offers adverse opinions to a SPONSORS postings, things start disappearing.... Could the OP deleting posts send a PM to explain why.

Thanks!

I saw your post about auctions and I was surprised no one chimed in. I guess them being deleted was why

not sure, didn't see the posts, but the mods here are A LOT more lenient than the mods on other forums, so if they were removed, it was probably for a good reason.

i'm speculating that if it's related to a sponsor though, the mods probably removed it if it was some sort of baseless complaint (because they let legit complaints stay, stuff like "i bought xyz, and ____ happened, and the sponsor didn't do jack about it" type of stuff)

Usually things are deleted for a good reason. Lately it's been to stop negative threads before they start. I didn't see the thread so not sure if it was a sponsors thread or a supporters thread.

Read the terms of use for the site. Aside from curing insomnia it also details what can/can't happen. It's also the thing we all agrees to when we registered.

The mods here are some of the my thoughtful, playful and lenient of any forum I'm registered to. IMO you'd be better served by using PMs to a mod rather than making exaggerated comments to the fellas that volunteer their time to service this community.

knowns:
  1. your posts was removed
  2. it was a post related to / referencing a site sponsor

assumptions
  1. the post was probably not positive in nature
  2. it probably wasn't based upon actual personal experience with the sponsor

IF those assumptions are correct, i can see why the posts were removed. it's not a matter of "pay to speak", where the sponsors have more right to an opinion than you do, but the sponsors ARE paying for a space / medium for them to sell their goods. it is in the interest of the site for the mods to remove anything that are essentially baseless complaints about the sponsor.

believe me, if you look around, there's plenty of vendor bashing that goes on, but they all have legit backgrounds to them, which is the only reason why i'm assuming your's did not, otherwise, i see no reason why it would have been removed.

unless it was just full of grammatical errors. I'm ALL for bringing down the hammer on people who suck at grammar.. :p

it's easier to feel justified when everything's laid out in vague terms.. :p

what kind of "adverse opinions" are we talking about here?

vendor "rainbow is the best coral color"
lanshark "green is the best coral color"

type of opinions? or are we talking

vendor "____ on sale for $$$, great price!"
lanshark "____ is a ripoff, it should only be $$"
