Not to ruin anyone's fun, but to bring this back to the threads subject, I thought I would update that the little fishes pellets that I had put in the cad lights bio reactor are no longer clumping and tumbling well. I left them alone for a day to see what happens and they seemed to have figured it out. I am glad I did not rush to purchase new pellets.

Keep a close eye on them... the reactor is not designed to work well with the round pellets so it might continue to be a problem. I would hate for you to start having problems with anaerobic bacteria in the reactor that could get out into your tank and make things very bad.

I appreciate the concern and advise, but what will I be keeping an eye out for? If they are tumbling well, how is that any different than the other bio pellets? I understand the anerobic bacteria part if they are not tumbling and clumping and thus not oxygenating, but shape should not mater I would think if they are moving. Let me know your opinion.

I simply meant to keep a close eye on the reactor to make sure the pellets continue to tumble well. Certain reactors are designed to work best with round pellets and others with flat pellets. The CAD Lights conic reactors work best with the flat pellets, whereas the nano reactor works best with the round pellets. The TLF pellets may be tumbling ok now but might not continue to. So just check it daily or so to make sure everything is still working well if you choose to keep the TLF pellets.
