well, i dunno if i can put up links or even pics because they're on another forum... but it's a forum in mexico... LOL... they aren't really competition to this forum, so i don't think it's such a bad idea...

if it is... sue me...

well... this tank, my friend abel made this at his glass shop... all these dudes are trying to make slim overflow box tanks... here's his with a custom DIY wavemaker...

here's the wavemaker in action.. it seems to be on a closed loop... the outlet is on the bottom of the overflow box thing place...

some other member showed his tank as well... i really like his overflow...

man, that one is no joke...

anyways... to see more pictures here's the link...

{insert richard bay's "NO DUH!" sound here}

i said custom tanks... i didn't say ultra awesome-O tanks... they don't get super cool ultra corals like us... well they do, but everything cost twice as much than it does for us... 40 bucks for a simple florida ricordea... and that's not even 40 bucks like us, it's more than 400 pesos... that's a grip of cash... the only ones that have nice stuff are the drug lords that spend $texas on their tanks...

For sure only people who are ultra ruch would even consider this hobby in my country.

That said the electricity and water are totally unreliable. I imagine the first thing they would need is a generator, without fail.

I think your right carnal only narcos, chotas, politicians, an daddys boys can afford the hobby in Mexico.

Cool tanks. I like the last ones overflow idea, but wouldn't it be very noisey? I don't see a way you'd be able to make it quiet?

OH and tell them to cross the border, I got a lot of frags for sale LOL!

Looks like their are two panes of glass for the bottom and they drilled the hole on the bottom of the 2 pieces. Great idea but I'm curious if they get a loud waterfall noise from the water falling down that much? And I'd assume their would be a gurgling noise from having no silencer? Also looks like they made the tank sit recessed within the stand a few inchs to hide all the silicone? Either way its an awesome and creative idea, I'd like more details on it if you could get some please!
