I'm putting a plan together for the garage sump and thinking about upgrading my chiller. Does anyone use a drop in chiller? Any benefits from it? I'm thinking of using that style because my sump is going to be a large bin type so, I should have room to spare and, I am hoping it will be more efficient.

Any thoughts? Any brands you recommend? I currently have a JBJ and its fine but, a bit noisy.

Aqua Logic chillers, in our experience, have been the most durable. They are built in San Diego and they service a lots of commercial and industrial clients so their chillers are beefy!

Noise-wise, most are fairly similar as they all have comparable-sized compressors.

As for drop-in versus inline: both are equally efficient with the proper flow rates. Plumbing-wise, drop-in is definitely the easier of the two installations.

Feel free to email or call us if you need help picking out a chiller :)
