Just had a great weekend looking at houses down that areas. Am looking to buy a house an there great down there.

But my work is in long beach is there any people that drive from those areas down to LA to work? Would like to know hows your drive on your way to LA and back. I go in at work at 6am p and am off at 6:30pm.

Houses are great but is it worth the drive?

Traffic on the 5 is usually bad going south in the morning. And traffic usually hits around 3:30-4 on the 5 north. Right about at the irvine spectrum.

I might be able to give you a more detailed idea of traffic if you could give me a General area of where your leaving and where your going to.

Check out norco hills...depending on your price range. That's our #1 area, and will be where we move to if we decide to. Houses there are defiantly worth the drive.

I had a house in Corona before coming back to the OC. My old house was off Green River/91. A drive I did while working in PV was 2 hours 1 way. Traffic on the 91 west during traffic hours BLOWS. Unfortunately traffic hours on the 91 are from about 6 am heading west, and 2 to 2:30 heading east. There is a 10 mile stretch of Fastrack that'll save you about 20-30 mins, but at a cost of $10 EACH WAY... If I had an option, I would say stay in the OC. Any trip to the LBC would be faster. Spending 32 hours a week on the freeway PLUS the 60 hours you mentioned in your OP would make me think twice about a move to the IE

I live in san pedro and worked in Ontario off jurupa for about 2 years. I got used to it because I was going against traffic. I made it work by getting off work no later than 3pm and leaving my house no later than 6am. It was a solid hours driver but if i left anytime after 4pm forget it.

you would catch the worst traffic as it would be the opposite of what I used to do. I remember everyday how i hated my drive but was thinking it would be horrible to be on the other side. I tried every which way to get home and the best option was going through long beach and avoiding the 91.

If you work in long beach the drive to OC (lake forest) would be much easier.

I ended up moving my office to paramount. Now i can easily commute from my office in paramount to my partner in hawthorne.

Thanks guys.more than 900 hrs a yr in the fwy dont sound fun. Unless i could get a job down that way
EXAAAActly. Plus wear and tear on the car, gas etc. All things to factor in when searching for a new house. Unless of course you hate your family and have a break light fettish....
