My wife has "had" 6 chocolate chips in her tank. I threw my six line puffer in there overnight. I guess the puffer was hungry and started to rip off legs. She decided to throw them in my sump and they all started to die and rot in there. I cleaned up the mess in there but my water is still cloudy and corals are bleaching. I checked nitrites, nitrates, Ph, alk, They are good. ammonia is at .25. I did a water change and I'll see what happens tomorrow. Anyways does anybody know if chocolate chip release toxins when they die?
Time to go to work.

never heard of a starfish releasing toxin. 6 dead chocolate chips starfish will prob produce a large amount of ammonia. Not sure what your tank size is, but I would do waterchanges until water is fine again
