help guys my maroon clown has been having ick for the past couple of days...he's the only fish in the entire tank with it...when i wake up he has it all over him but when i get home from school he looks fine...he's eating and active and all that...he ignores my skunk shrimp so i'm not sure how to help him out since i don't have a QT tank...i dont think he'd go for a cleaner wrasse either

what i've noticed today is that his right side and right gil covers are starting to wear away almost...i dont know how to explain it but it looks like his side is scabbing..im not sure from what since he doesn't flick himself against rocks or anything like that and it just on one side

so what can i do guys? i'm sure the parasites are all over my tank but i dont understand why they're only attacking the clown and leaving my goby, wrasse, and tang alone...and how can i help his side heal up? i've been adding the water conditioner i use which is supposed to have "the healing power of aloe vera" lol

any help would be appreciated

Could be fungal. I would go out and get a small gold fish bowl with a small pump and use that as a QT tank you sould just have to change water every day. Wish I knew more bro but I am still a newb lol!
well i have a small 3 gallon vivarium that my sister used to use as her toad habitat until i gave her my 5 gallon:)frusty:). i have a sponge filter and all that jazz but i think that tank is too small for my clown

i dont want him to die because i've never been able to keep a clown alive this long...5 days...lol

I take 4-5 cloves of garlic, put them through a garlic press into some RO/DI water, then soak your fish food in it, whatever you feed. I've seen my larger fish actually eat pieces of garlic that make it into the tank, no problems...

Sorry to hear that. How's your nitrates? did you ever throw away that old filter pad and started wet skimming?
