So I've been dipping my corals, zoas, etc... as of late. I've been using an old dip medication that was given to me a while back. I looked at the bottle for an expiration date but nothing.. Looks to be iodine based as it has a brown color to it. So does this stuff go bad?

I don't know but what I do know is that lugols type dip is okay, not excellent. Get yourself the Bayer advanced stuff.
For like 8$ you have dip for years. Well for us dirtier types it only last 6 months.

Good to know. Thanks... That Bayer stuff is pretty toxic...Don't really know if I want to mess with that stuff.
Sometimes I have a beer while adding new stuff to the tank, I don't want to end up drinking the Bayer cool-aid

Well it's meant to kill spiders and garden pests. I know it does burn on the skin if left on. But hey it's a better dip than anything I've seen. Literally on a frag you will have a soup of critters. Everything with in like 40 seconds is just dying a miserable death.

I would not dip a nem in that. I wouldn't do anything like a bubble anything. I think a simple revive or coral rx is better for corals that are bubbly.

Nem's I wouldn't know.

Is there ANYTHING safe to dip nems in? I THINK they're too sensitive to dip in anything. Anybody have any thoughts on this...?
Revive says you can on the bottle. I dipped a maxi in once. It didn't look good at all and threw its guts up so I pulled it out and placed it in the tank. Was pissed for a week but made it. Sooooooo idk
