Metal and powder coated??? Sweet!!!
Thanks, I've got to thank Darrell for being an awesome guy, he was willing to be very open with the design. I've been trying to make a stand like this for a few years but nobody has been willing to be the first one.

Here's another picture of the stand in it's final position.

That is one awesome stand!

I like the way the doors are recessed between the corner uprights.

That is some excellent fab work makes me wish I was still welding and fabricating.

How do these stands withstand shear forces like those from an earthquake? Are additional diagonal girders needed?
Welded metal is ridiculously strong, it's not like wood. If you use strong enough material you don't need cross-bracing. Some customers want cross-bracing regardless and that fine. The stand is more susceptible to corrosion with the cross-braces because the tight corners are hard to paint.

Hello Aaron,

This is really nice. How much for something like this without the light holder above. I have kessil's with goosenecks, so I don't need that top piece. Also, I need a stand for a 275 gallon tote to hold water in. I'll send the dims later. No rush on any if this as I'm moving.

Thanks,
D

How much would a light hanger cost for a 6bulb 36" t5?
I'm interested for a stand build. Your work is really top notch
