Does anyone have any reviews about jebao dosing pumps? Or should I stay away?

Personally have always liked the bubble magus dosers and used them on my system, which is why I typically recommend the bubble magus dosers to my customers

Yea, I was looking at them but if I can save a few hundred by going jebao Id like to. If I hear anything bad then I don't mind spending the extra money on the bubble Magnus.

You will have a lot more programming and calculating with the Jebao. I've had both and like the BM more. Is it worth the extra $$$ imo yes

Its hit or miss with Jebao. One of the key is quality and warranty. The much lower price does reflect on cheaper materials being used. Plus the fact that Jebao doesn't have an exclusive US importer, means it doesn't really have a warranty/tech center. They say you can send it back to them in China to get it fixed, but that'll cost $50 bucks one way, so 100% folks never go through with it.

Right now, its at $100 for the Jebao vs. 269.99 for the Bubble Magus... and much more for the other brands (vertex, GHL).

In the end, its your tank and for most of us reefers, we're on a tight budget.

I have both brands out of my warehouse, so its all on personal preference. My personal advice, especially if you used the Jebao. 1) find a nice dry place so that moisture doesn't affect the motherboard. 2) maintenance the 'pin' on the dosing heads regularly, it will not work once rust builds up. 3) only put enough additives for 2-4 weeks of dosing because cheaper motors are known to spinning non-stop and dump the container. 4) inspect the tubing in the motor head, the cheaper jebao silicone tubing is inferior and will crack once it hardens over time.

hope this is informative..

I've been running a DP4 for over a year with zero problems. The only quirk is the clock seems to lose a minute or two every month, big whoop.
