Hey Guys,

I currently have the LiterMeter III that doses my Ca and Alk (I manually dose my Mag), but I'm looking to use this pump set-up to do a type of "automatic water-change" (to be discussed on another future thread).

Anyways, I'm thinking of getting another set of dosing pumps (was looking at Bubble Magus) and was wondering if anyone suggests one over another?

I've loved my LiterMeter, but I also like the fact that the Bubble Magus has all three pumps in one housing, and also notice a lot of reefers out there use Bubble Magus.

Any thoughts/opinions?

Thanks,

Chad

Bubble magus has been good. Tom at Socal has them in stock and when mine had a bad pump he swapped it out on the spot.

This new one is 9 months old no issues.

Mine is set to do the 3 part.

I machine doses 20 ml of magnesium a day in 6 intervals. Alk via soda ash at 185 ml 12 intervals and calcium chloride at 245ml also 12 intervals.

Ive had the LMIII since 2009 without any problems, to dose kalk. I will also set up a water exchange system for it someday. its known to be the most reliable and precise but very expensive as you know and its hard to find in stock...

My buddies use the BMT01 and for $300 bucks you get what would cost the LMIII $700... its more bang for the buck but I hear its less reliable...

then if you want really cheap the peristaltic pumps on BRS for $99, but people who used them had to replace them every 9-12 months...

It seems like the main ones being suggested (on this forum and another one) is the LMIII, Bubble Mag, and then one not mentioned yet here, Profilux.

Then there's the cheaper ones suggested, but I don't really want to sacrifice quality and reliability too much since I sometimes travel for work and can't afford my tank to get over/under supplemented for any extended period of time.

Now knowing that, would that change any of your responses?

Thanks so much for your suggestions and help,

Chad
