Ecotech has dropped their price on the MP40 dramatically to $299.99. Obviously this was due to new competition but in the end we all win. Regardless of which pump you think is better this is an outstanding deal for a tried and true pump.

We have these in stock so you can come pick one up today!

That's awesome for us. Will the mp60 and mp10 be dropping in price too?

I think this is more reasonably priced. IMO They were way too expensive for what they do. Don't get me wrong, I love my mp60s.

Yeah, this is a great deal for an MP40! Regardless of their competition, EcoTech has some very innovative and unique features that still sets them apart from their completion.

The price reduction only applies to the MP40. The reduction is obviously due to the new competition in the Maxspect Gyre. This was seen coming for about a month now and there are no signs that thethe will be any price reduction on the other MP pumps.

Hooray for more competition.
I agree completely but honestly, when looking at both pumps side by side, it is obvious the MP40 costs more to build. Just the magnets used to couple the wet and dry sides of the Vortechs together is a big expense.

With the price drop I think $200 is more fair if used... I guess unless it was used for a month... but that's hard to prove without a receipt but even then how do you know the receipt is for the pump for sale? For $320 you can get a new one so $250 wouldn't be appealing to me.

That means a MP10 will be $100 or less. Great!!
