hello to all, my wife got me one for my b-day about 2weeks ago. it was doing fine until the new year and stopped opening up all the way. its been 4 days and i am wondering if i can do anything to help it? everything seems normal, the fish, corals and such.

They like dirty water, higher nitrates. Difficult to keep in same tank with SPS. They release some toxins too. Most of the Elegance imported today fail in captivity. Beautiful corals though!

great looking coral. my wife went and got it without me thinking it would be a cool gift. i really liked it but not my choice for a purchase, you know what i mean? dirty water, not here lol. toxins? should i take it out?

They like dirty water, higher nitrates. Difficult to keep in same tank with SPS. They release some toxins too. Most of the Elegance imported today fail in captivity. Beautiful corals though!

if you have a frag tank thats not skimmed all the nutrient out of the water put it there add strotonium and iodine but make sure to ff. direction specially on the iodine and try to spot feed it.

i just installed one today. i moved it to the middle of the tank to get more light and it opened up more today than it has since the new year. i don't have a frag tank, but i would'nt mind getting some to put some in all the space i have. LOL anyway only time will tell. thanks for the replies.

it opens about half and thats it. i think it can come back, i just half to find it's sweet spot.
