Its another long-winded one from me. I have been on this forum since January 2008 but I have only really been an active member for a couple months. In that short time I have had the misfortune of some real useless/time wasting interactions with some of the members of this forum.
I have made 6 agreements to sell, give, buy and or get livestock and or equipment from fellow members. I was flaked on 4 out of 6 times, no show, call, or email. 1 of the 4 times I was asked to hold some items just to find that member trying to buy the same items for $15 cheaper from another member that was 50 miles further then me. Please keep in mind this was 40 plus days and several emails later asking me to hold on to the items.
My latest disappointing interaction was yesterday with one of our sponsors no less. I will not mention the name of this person as this agreement was outside of their normal held business. My whole problem with this isnt that others and myself are missing out on these agreed great deals but that these people have a complete disregard for their fellow man/woman. Why these people cant do what they have agreed to is beyond me but even more so why they cant make a phone call or send a message informing the other person involved that the deal is off for whatever reason is just flat out inconsiderate.
I love this forum for many reasons but the business being held here is turning into nothing more then a useless craigslist type transaction. A group of people that know nothing of each other and have no common respect for each others time and purchase outside of their own wants and needs. Can we please be a little more considerate of each other here? We do have at least a common bond that brings us here in the first place.
