I have this strange stringy-hairy red algae. I have about 30 hermit crabs and one snail. I want to purchase more CUC. I was wondering if anyone knows what is the blue CUC best for this type of algae.

Bryopsis is multiple tube like tiny feather dusters. This is straight up red hairy algae. Hermits attack it but only controls them. I need something that will annihilate them. Does anyone know if 3 mexican turbo will take care of this? I have 30x30x18 tank and only have about 40 lbs of rock.

My sailfin has almost murdered all of that stuff that came on some rock I bought.
Can't add a sailfin b/c my yellow will be all over it.

turbos took care of it for me, and they were the only things that would touch it, but it is probably hit and miss, depending on their appetite.

good luck, Mike
I ordered 3 mexican turbos and hope one of them has a red hairy algae appetite.

Turbo snails will destroy it in my experience. You need to really watch it so it doesn't spread.
