I need to catch and rehome a Pyramid Butterfly in a heavily stocked reef tank... does anyone have a particularly good methodology for catching a surprisingly elusive fish in a tank full of staghorn acro's that make it difficult to maneuver with nets? Or is there a particularly effective trap available on Amazon?

I would greatly appreciate any tips or recommendations!

No tips but can i buy it when u catch it? I can come help remove ur rocks lol.

if it comes to eat when u drop in food, can probably use typical trap.

If not in the past I had to get clear acrylic sheets 2x4 feet and separate my tank. Removed a few rock work. And caught my elusive asshole fish.

ps serious about buying and helping

Where are you located? If you are local (OC), I have a large fish trap/acclimation box that you can borrow. It is meant for a large tank. I use it more for acclimation box. I've never actually caught a fish in it though (never tried). But the idea is to bait it and let it get comfortable, and then just use a fish line to pull the door shut. I think it'll catch bold fishes like tangs and clowns...not sure if it will work with butterflies if they are more skittish.

Not going to lie, last time I had to catch a fish, I used egg crate to divide the tank and removed rocks. But I also didn't have SPS colonies, that would be a major pain.
