So I have like 150lbs of sand to wash for my build. I've read a few different methods for cleaning the sand that are all basically the same...wash with the hose, dump water until it's clear. And then they all say to put the sand in your tank. This is where my question lies...
So I just used hose water to wash all this sand, the sand is now wet, and I'm just gonna stick it in my tank? Won't the water that's still on the sand be bad for my tank? This is a new tank with no livestock and maybe the volume (~140g total) waters it down enough but can I really just put freshly rinsed sand in the tank with no repercussions?
I don't think I can wait for it to dry :a28: but I want to go in knowing what I'm doing. Who's used rinsed sand using the hose rinse method? Anything to watch out for?
