For this kind and size $55 is okie. I have a another one same as this but bigger 5-6 inches i bought it last year for $70. My local fish store has the one with 2 colors (regular one) for $40.

So is it a Red Sea desjardini? You shouldn't be paying more than liveaquaria unless IMO it's an established eating, proven healthy and disease free fish.

Yup, big difference, twice the price. How long have you had it? Is it eating anything and everything you've thrown at it? Is it in your sump?

I bought it last week. I have to put it in the sump cuz my yellow tang kept picking on him. I feed it spectrum pellets

Maybe your LFS will take it back? Store credit or exchange for another fish....

That's a regular sailfin not desjardini

I think that's a desjardini, Chris. Regular one usually has a solid yellow tail.

I think it looks like a juvenile desjardini tang. It has more stripes than a regular sailfin.

Yup its a juvi desjardini. It changes color when it becomes mature. I have a bigger 1 in my other tang.
