We are remodeling our house and my current tank won't fit so I get a new tank. Along with the new tank, I'm going to be getting a new sump, looking to mine the collective brains of this group for suggestions, lessons learned, warnings regarding sumps.

I've settled on a tank with dimensions of 60x36x24 (or 33" width) on a metal stand (requirement from the wife). So I need a sump that will fit under the stand with enough space.

I'm going to keep my current skimmer as it does a great job and is rated for more than what I have in tank.
Size: 11.8 x 11 x 22.4in

I want a fleece roller and not filter socks.

What sumps do you have that work, don't work, would buy again, would never buy again? Or maybe get a custom sump made?

With those dimensions I think you'll have plenty of options, both AA and Bashsea do custom work and can incorporate a fleece roller I'm sure. If you really want to go all out and have everything match ect check out GEO line of sumps. Pricey but they look well thought out with reactors and everything built into the sump sections.

I had a leaky Bashsea sump. The told me that was the first time they ever had that happen. My situation was an odd one since my dumbass didn't test fill it right away and waited until I was about to start my build several months later. Overall the customer service was okay in handling it but I did end up fixing it myself. They gave my $100 credit, which was kinda meh to me. Had they given me $100 refunded I would have been 100% satisfied.
