Do you mean the Hana Ca test? The Hana alk is the simplest test with one reagent. I've gotten consistent results from it, but I've never compared the results with other test kits. But the Alk one is just calibrating the test sample, adding the reagent, and analyzing the sample. Just takes a few seconds. The Ca on the other hand is a nightmare.

I guess if you constantly stay the same on alk with the meter no prob. But one day cross check it for giggles. Don't like any of those Lil egg checkers.

You know how when you are pulling the solute into the 1mL syringe, you pull it up until the BOTTOM of the black part hits 1.0mL? After you dispense your solute into the solution and it changes color, FLIP the syringe upside down and the (now) TOP part of the black is where your reading is. Is that what you've been doing? If you have some frags for sale, I'll come over and show you how to do it since I'm local to you in Northridge.

You pull the liquid at least twice in and out using the pink tip on as well, once you pulled it all the way up, you push the syringe where the bottom piston lines up at 1.0mL. "Your Welcome!"

the way i read is, where ever the liquid line is. by line i mean, the last drop that changes the color and than i turn it over and read what number the solution is at.

That's wrong, you read where the top of the black piston is.

I really do prefer the Hanna checker when it comes phosphate
