I spent good money on this bastard and he wants to hide behind the rock work where I can't see him. How the heck to I get him out so I can see him more? I paired him up with a gold stripe, but it just follow's the lightning where it is. I'm bummed. ;[

Any suggestions?

Adam, that might be a good idea! I have an MP10 running on the side in the center. I'll try moving it back. Maybe the flow is putting them off. This is a 10g cube.

The maroon and the goldstripe are the only fish in there. He's not getting punked, he is the one who punks. Haha

Since it cost quite a bit, and he is eating and doing well, I would suggest to just leave him alone. My prized clown also did the same. Hiding unless if there is food in the water. I don't recall when but he eventually felt comfy enough to swim freely.

Flow might be the easiest thing to change, but another option would be to change the rockwork.

If he isn't eating, then changing things (rock work, flow) is a good idea to speed up the acclimation process. But he is eating like a pig and these designer clowns do act differently than regular ones. So doing all these changes may prolong the acclimation process even more.

agree with Yesse. Best bet is to change the rockwork. Maroons are very territorial and will pick a spot to call home. If you change the rockwork they lose their home and are forced to make a new spot their home. I'd definitely push the rocks back so they can't have a place to hang out behinf the tank

Thanks guys, you all have valid points. I only have one large branched piece of tonga in the tank, I'll try to turn it over to see if I can change the rockwork enough to close that area in the back if the flow trick doesn't work.
