Is it just me or does everybody get the most stubborn algae on the edges of the glass?

Why is it the mist stubborn algae grows right at a bout a 1-1/2“ margin along the bottom of the glass and in the corners? It’s not like I go easy on those areas, in fact I pay special attention to those areas. But every month or two I have to go in with my hand and a razor to clear the stubborn stuff off.

I know what you're talking about. It taunts you because it knows it's close to the tank seams.

Same here. It happened with all of my tanks making me believe it’s normal. For some reason the algae in those area are harder to come off than else where.

I get the same thing. I got a UV sterilizer a few months ago, it’s really helped with slowing algae growth on my glass
