Just got a used rodi for a great price. I want to set it up for a reservoir with a float valve. Question is this already a auto shut off valve ?

Black line comes from second filter to membrane. Then the the blue line connects to the 3rd canister which is directly linked to the 4 the canister and then has a output. I’ll put as many pictures as I can.

So as long I run it with a float valve it should turn off water production.

Yea. I ran one of these years back. But I recommend that you put the shutoff between the di cartridge and float valve. You don’t want to pressurize the di cartridge
Those shut offs have to be installed correctly tho. One side is a low pressure side, this is the side you want to hookup in between the float valve and di cartridge. The other side is high pressure , this side can be installed in between wall hookup and prefilter or in between carbon blocks and ro membrane

Gotcha I plan on running
Pre filter
Carbon
Chlorine
Di

It’s seems right now the blue line comes after 2nd line and goes to 3rd line which would be a second carbon.

If it makes it easier I can just do pre filter , carbon, di,di

Might end up getting a flood guardian if it’s easier

Anything in Cali I wouldn’t do anything less then 2 high quality carbon blocks. Our water is so polluted with fuels and a lot of cities use chloramines. You can find out if you look up your local water company’s website. They have to publish all the info from there water sampling’s.

If you want I have an extra housing you can have (free) that you can use for a second di

Chloramines are a pita. It’s H2O, ammonia, and chlorine. The ammonia is a b—— to scrub off the h2o. So it burns the carbon up quickly

This is the report I got. It says there is chloramine.

I actually have a extra canister so I might go
Brs sediment filter
Brs chlorine voc 5 micron carbon block

Membrane (because that’s how it’s hooked up right now )

Brs chlorine voc 5 micron carbon block

Di

Is that 5 micron or .5 micron?

Definitely re line it. The chloramines will burn your membrane up with in a month or 2. And sense ro membrane are the most expensive you want to kill the carbon blocks first
