I was at Coral Gazers today getting some water and saw this massive carpet. It's gorgeous, anyone know what the success rate is for them. I'm tempted in picking it up but I'm concerned it will snack on my fish or that it won't be that easy to care for

How long have they had it would be my main question. That looks like a Haddoni to me, freaking gorgeous!

Those need very strong lighting and from what I've read tend to grab fish a little more than a gigantea/true carpet. I've heard once they are established they are pretty hardy. If it's established pull the trigger, they are prone to infections during transport so if it hasn't been there a few months be ready with some cipro and a QT tank.

I wonder what it will look like when it goes under full blue. It's a nice pink color under white

So carpets, for me, are one of those hard to beat true color would look good in a planted tank spectrum centerpieces! lol. I prefer carpets under natural lighting but I think under RB/B/UV lighting that thing will look pink.
I'm trying to revive a yellow ( maybe green) gigantea right now. It's slightly bleached but has been turning around for the better on its own, haven't had to treat it with antibiotics so far. Thing looked fake under my radions during the day. Still the brightest thing in the tank under MH.

If you want to see a red under led/t5 go to Tong's. They have one about the same size for $800. It's been there for a while but there are other carpets in there that don't look so hot. This one looks like its the only one in the tank which is a bonus IMO

Yep, it's the only one in the tank. There are like 2 other bubble tips but no other carpets.
