Does anyone have any suggestions on any good LFS near downtown? I know SGV and such has a lot of good ones, I can't always drive out there. I've only been able to find good freshwater ones, but maybe it's because I haven't been looking much.

Thanks!

I would check out SPS, but they're a bit far from me. I'm actually more near university park.

I was actually at Tongs the other day and they had no saltwater tanks and limited saltwater dry goods. Yeah, felt a bit unsafe going in there...

I might check out Kyoto aquarium some time. I did hear good things about The Aquarium on Sepulveda and Jim's near LAX is good, but they're also a bit far away.

Any idea on where to get a decent(and cheap) package deal on starter frags/corals for a nano? Or would I be better off trying to purchase it from a forum member?

Oh yeah, I've also been to Oranda Aquarium on La Brea before, but never really took a good look at their reef stuff. I don't recall seeing very much coral, but they do have a decent selection of fish. The prices for their freshwater livestock though is fairly high.

I'm telling you there's nada in the 18 mile radius around DtlA. Southbay is also hit and miss. Just Ask what you are looking for.

Easy to guide you to store X for what. Most places around us don't have any Sps. Softies you have medusas which almost everyone I know doesn't like but they treated me awesome. But have never been back in 2.5 years, tells you how impressed I was. Neptunes reef sucks. Aquatic Fantasy sometimes has some sick frags but have a good mark up, but it is a rich mans area. Dedicate this song to the lady that runs the store there .33 seconds to the .48th all for you. http://youtu.be/4GLEGv_QkTs

Pacific Reef gets decent fish at pretty fair prices. But you have to qt!

I guess I'm mostly looking for a good go to store if I ever need anything or just want to browse. I went to CK Fish World in West Covina just recently and it was probably one of the best LFS I've ever been to. I guess I'm just stuck driving a bit.
