Hi... New on here... I live in Yucca Valley... I'm always down in Palm Springs/Palm Desert area though... I just started a 70g bullet shaped SW tank and am looking to COLOR IT UP with some coral!
As I'm sure everyone on here uderstands, we have spent SOOOO much money on this that we weren't planning to and then we had to spend a ton more- & lost a good bit in dead fish :'(- b/c we got a fish that brought infection into our system and had to buy lots of meds and chemicals etc to try to fight it off... so I am hoping that I can find someone who might have an overgrowth of corals will be REALLY nice and donate some frags to me or sell me some for cheap
I am willling to drive a reasonable distance if worth my while so don't assume that you are too far away from Yucca Valley. I am always looking for an excuse to get out of this town, lol! I'm also hoping to find/make some friends that are also into this hobby since we don't know anyone else that is!
I am also looking to buy a canister filter, UV sterilizer, ballast for retrofit Power compact lighting or another type if you have a different kind, but I have a canopy I will have to mount the bulbs into so it will have to be a separate ballast retrofit type setup. I have the space in my canopy for maximum 36" bulbs incase that matters), smaller tank for QT, some sort of filter for that (canister, HOB, etc).
