Hello everyone,

Since I have settled into my career I have been neglecting my tank and lost almost all of the coral as a result. I had a beautiful mixed reef with sps dominate, but not a single piece of sps now... :(

I work 8 am -9pm everyday of the week, and to lazy to take care of the tanks on the weekend. I would love to come home to that blue glowing sps dominated reef tank again!!!

Looking for someone who is a successful sps keeper and can show photos to prove it. will likely purchase frags from your system once ready. I would need weekly or biweekly maintenance to keep the tank in top shape. Will have to start with solving the issues in the tank including aptasia, slight dynos, and some GHA.

If you live in the Inland empire or don't mind traveling to Murrieta and would be interested in making some side cash, please let me know. I have most things for maintenance at my house. The tanks are 120g on full apex with trident , 60g, and a 25 g.

Happy Reefing!

-Danny

I know Fish frenzy in Temecula maintains tanks. Might be worth a look. They also do some houses in Canyon Lake, so I know they would do yours since Canyon Lake is further.

I feel your pain. I as well work from 60 to 74 hours 6 day a week, lately.

This is why I automated everything.
No lie I do maybe a hour or two of maintenance a bi-weekly. I don’t do water changes. Every other week I test my po4 to see if I need to change my refugium lighting schedule. If po4 go up I add an hour to refugium schedule. If they go down I deduct a half hour. I use a calcium reactor to dose my 3 main elements. Then like every 2 months I mix up a 1lt of trace elements and use a BRS 1.1ml doser to dose 1.1ml twice a day. I have a ehiem auto feeder for dry food and use a dos to auto feed frozen food. On Sunday I make a weeks worth of frozen (1/3) a sheet of mysis, a table spoon of reef roids, in a large mason jar with ro/di. The dos feeds 30ml of frozen food twice a day.

My ro/di unit is completely automated. I just change filters evey 3 or 4 months.

I’m in the process of building a mixing station in a shed that is outside the wall behind my tank.

All four of my tanks, ro/di, and soon mixing station are ran and controlled by one apex

All I really do for maintenance is clean the glass and skimmer and pull out chaeto from the sump once a month.

Idk what happened but I have turned into a terrible reef keeper. My apex went offline over a month ago when I switched internet providers and I cant even get myself to set my trident/ apex back up. Once all my sps died off I just fell into reef depression in conjunction with burnout from so many patients at work. I have time on the weekends to do that hour of maintenance but choose not to for some reason. I turn down the pumps when the return starts blowing air because I am too lazy to make water sometimes haha. Its bad! I think once I see a nice tank again I will get back into it. Only reason I keep the tank up now if for my purple tang, blue tang, anthias , leopard wrasse, cleaner wrasse, and clowns that have been with me for a long time. Maybe ill get motivated this weekend from these photos! nice setup btw!

I’m in Menifee and met a guy named Kyle up here that helped me set up my doser. He does maintenance on tanks as well I believe. I’ll DM you his number. Tell him Long gave you his number.

Wow, are there more details on how you did your frozen food system?
