I just bought a Peppermint from my lfs about 2 hours ago and as soon as I drop the little guy in, my Melanurus devoured him like there was no tomorrow... T.T

Should have added your shrimp at night, allows them to find a place to hide before the wrasse comes to get them. My frag tank I only see my shrimp at night because they stay in a small rock cave during the day to hide from my melanurus

I had a peppermint until last week, guy decided it was okay to play in the nem.. So I assumed it was okay to just him in since my wrasse never bothered any of my other shrimp.

Sorry to hear Andi. I always learn the hard way too. Lol. I once added 3 small mccoster wrasses all at once. Then I realized they don't live together unless its a male and female. all disappeared within a week. My dumb as$ also dipped some shrimps once. Didn't know I'm not suppose to dip inverts. Lol most expensive shrimp ever that I couldn't eat.
