A couple years ago while in college I had a guy approach me after class (he was in my class). He told me that he had just moved to America and explained how much he loved American culture. Later that day I got a friend request from him on FB. He IMed me later in the week saying that I "embodied American culture" and that he would love to use some of my style. He asked if I had an old pair of shoes that he could use to help him "transition" into American culture. He offered me 50$ a pair. And since I was a poor college student I sold him 2 of my 3 pairs of shoes. I felt like a complete badass making money off old ****. Later that week he IMed me on FB saying the real reason he wanted the shoes was for the smell. And that he could tell my feet would smell amazing 
. Instantly blocked and luckily he did not come back to class haha. Unfortunately it's not that strange. But you handled it well.
