Just curious if my clam should be opening more or not. I remember when he use to open and I could see byssal but now I can't. Nothing is nipping at it, no crabs around it, para r in check, no flesh gone, moder flow, has been in same spot since I've put him in the tank, 2 months ago, 135g, 3x 250MH, Phoenix 14k, 2 week old bulbs. Has been this way about a week after I put him in the tank.

looks great... but clams aren't always easy to diagnose from pics...

do the light test... wave your hand blocking the light... if it reacts fast and closes, it's healthy... if not... it's on it's way out...

keep us posted...
