My clowns have been laying eggs every 12-14 days since 2016, so it's normal behavior. When they're happy and healthy this is normal.

Question for you guys on the topic of clowns laying eggs. So I’ve had a female for 14 years. Her mate unfortunately passed away and a year ago I tried throwing in smaller clowns but she would just bully them and the previous 2 ended up jumping out :/. I found this tough baby snowflake and it’s been able to hold his ground for over a year.
My question is though she won’t leave this guy alone. Sometimes they get a long but when I feed she tries to kill him. I have to put a baser in the tank so he can eat. He holds his own with her but ive seen them do the mating dance before but no eggs.
Are they just in an abusive relationship? Help me out lol

My pair of clownfish used to lay eggs then all of a sudden stopped. I thought the female got old. A few month later they started again.
Did this happen to anyone here?

Maybe she likes it rough and needs a stronger male.

You can’t have 2 females in a tank. Most likely the new additions were immature females who haven’t transitioned to males.
