Well, it's coming along. I broke down and sold my old beat up acrylic 240 that was different dimensions and bought Jeffreylams 240 visio glass 8x2x2. The stand and canopy are way nicer than my last set as well....I'm very happy with it so far. This is my 3rd tank after starting out with an 80T about 4 years ago. My 240 acrylic was a FOWLR first and then I moved it to reef but only softies/lps. I'm planning on having this as a mixed reef and will be lighting it with four 175W Iwasaki 15k bulbs under Lumenarc Mini III's and powered by Icecap ballasts. I hooked up 3 of my Current 56w PC actinics for some supplement actinic lighting and will run 5 current blue lunar lights. It has two sumps, one is 60g and the other 25g. The 60g I just had the top cut open wider so I could fit the new ATI Bubble Master 250. I had some limited space under the stand with the two sumps so I'm only running a Iwasaki MD70RLT but added dual Vortechs with the wireless controllers which after testing seems like plenty of flow to me. I was going to do a closed loop with a Sequence Hammerhead but beyond not having a lot of room left, I wanted to save some in power and felt the vortechs would give me enough flow. So, I'm still trying to get the wiring for the MH set up and need to buy some piano hinges to bolt in the canopy top. I've got the acrylic rods and sheeting already set to build some pillars for my aquascaping. Was trying to get this filled up this weekend but looks like next weekend is more realistic.

Well, the tanks been up and running for over 6 months now. I went through all the normal algae battles and currently trying to rid bryopsis. Raised my mag but seems to be the ruby lettuce nudis are the best thing to help eliminate it. Enjoy some updated shots.

Looks great! Nice copperband. ~I really like the look of a mini school of green chromis in big tanks, they add a nice flash. I have 7 in my 180g for over 3 years.
