He's been healthy in my DT for two months after 6 weeks QT (without meds). Eating like a champ and starting to nip a bit.... Anyways, he didn't come out for breakfast so I was cutlrious and saw him an a cave swimming upside down and doing some some slow spins. Though he was hunting at first but I think he might be sick. Any ideas? Anything I can do? Is it contagious?

My blue spotted angel also developed this swimming bladder issue. It just continued getting worse and he eventually swam upside down. I don't think there is any med that's known to be directly effective. Sorry man.

Thre is only one thing you can do as far as I know. If it's a swim bladder issue you need to do a bit of research via YouTube to take a needle and poke him in is swim bladder. It's been done I remember a thread that a member started documenting how he did it and it worked.

Sounds like it's in a reef. That makes catching him or medicating him more difficult. May want to look into seachem kanaplex. It may help.

Any pics of video of the fish? Hows is the flow/o2 in the tank? Hypoxia can cause abnormal behavior due to lack of oxygen to the brain and tissues... Any signs up parasites? Flukes attach to the gills, causing a decrease in 02 for the fish which may be the reason for the behavior...
