I'm exhausted fighting with the EcoTech software/wireless and have decided to get a ReefLink for my 4 lights. Anyone have a used one for sale or a shop near either Santa Ana or Lake Forest have one available?

It's was very bad when you pay $200 for the RL and cannot connect to control your $1k + equipment. But Ecotech worked the issue day and night to have way better connectivity now. I have no issue with my RL link and they are only $99.

Note to self never buy items when they first come out

I have 4 lights, 3 gen 2 and 1 gen 3, I can never connect to more than 2 at a time and sometimes it uses the same name for a different serial number. I tried using connection manager and the website and I'm disappointed with the experience. And they didn't keep the settings,, I keep coming home to find them at 100% and blasting my corals. I lost a huge wall hammer suddenly. I'm resorting to turning the lights off manually at times. I love the way the lights run and look, but you would think for the money these cost they could have the software part worked out and not require you to buy another item. What's up with the fact it won't run on Internet Explorer, wants Chrome or Firefox...seriously?

I wanted to get a used one or pick one up at a local shop, I guess I'll head to MD today.

Ok, picked this up from MD on Friday night (turns out they are 5 miles from my office). I finally got around to setting up the lights today and at first I was going to go crazy. Finally I decided to do a factor reset on the lights and BAM, it worked like a champ. It took a few tries to get the lights where I wanted them, seems like 4 over my 240 is too bright, i'm running the tank at like 40% now.
