So as the title states my clowns wont stop hosting my mag float. Well they were hosting my koralia 425 then moved to the mag... They have a Rose BTA sitting in the center of my tank just waiting for them!!!!
Any advice on how to get them to make the move?

Was thinking a noddle strainer floating in tank and move the nem and clowns into it but not sure if that would be stressfull or if others have better methods.

Nope! The strainer method is tried and true :) also if you want try first moving the Nem closer to the side of tank ( if possible.. That's why I like barnacles for Nem homes ) and put your mag float right up next to it on the glass.. Maybe they'll take to it by accident lol :)

Great suggestion! I didn't even think to move the nem to the side near the mag float haha. The nem is easily moved since its picked a spot on a peice of rubble rock. Ill give that a shot tonight and see how it goes for a few days. If not ill use the strainer. Any tips on the strainer method, such as length of intervals of keeping them in there?

put the nem and the clowns in a basket floating on the top of your tank. they will eventually host, or you can just wait and they might figure it out. Mine just hosted this month after 6 months of waiting.

Had to do the strainer with a pair of tank raised snowflakes.. I left em in it for 2 days before they finally hosted.. Then left em one xtra day just to solidify their attachment to it... Do remember though to throw some food in there for em lol.. Also, it was just me, but I put a piece of old scratched up acrylic over the strainer.. Because I didn't want to bleach my Nem or stress the clowns.. It helped diffuse the light, since it was so much stronger than what they would normally get down further in the tank. Just a thought... lol good luck!

I read some where recently to turn the lights off and then put a flash light aiming towards what you want them to host and they will go towards the light and hopefully start hosting what the light is aimed at

Hosting a mag float!? Must look hilarious

Most tank raised do that, they never seen a nem before so their instinct is to host so they host random stuff. I got lucky since my clowns teach other how to

Mine host a big zoa colony lol the zoas don't seem to mind too much anymore and stay open. The strainer method sounds promising, I'll try that when I get a nem!

Ended up doing the strainer method last night and left them over night in there with the nem with a cover. This morning they keep touching it and exploring it!! Hopefully soon they dive in and enjoy the new home. Ill post pics once they host!

I didn't do anything other than make fun of my clowns. They used to host my wp40, return nozzles etc till they meandered their way to the nems

So got home this evening and watched the clowns. I noticed that my regular oscilaris won't let the snowflake into the nem. It keeps darting toward it as it comes near or try's to rub/touch the nem. Hoping that's normal. Could this just be happening because they are still in the strainer? I only ask because prior to the one taking to the anemone they would hang out together almost inseparable.

The nem or anything that the clowns host need to be a lot bigger than the clowns or the clowns will kill whatever they host. nanogry's nem is like a Ricordia. It might not that much harass from the clown. My green torch was killed and my toad stool almost got killed. I put a bug nem in and the clowns just went to the nem leaving my toad stool alone.
