Need suggestion pls

I just got a rock full of plantation on it from one of my buddy. But his tank is in bad condition. I have the rock with plants in a bucket of saltwater with no circulation. I want to cure it before dumping it into my sump. I have been changing the water out every 2 days and it has been like a week. Is this the right way and if it is, how long do i have to this for??? thanks in advance everyone.

what kind of plant caulerpa a mixijet 1200 should give it enough circulation and some aeration to keep the plants alive a week should be enough

Thx for the reply and i should be putting it in this week. It is not caulerpa by the way. isn't that illegal??

There are several different species of Caulerpa, some of which are in-fact illegal here in Cali due to their ability / likelyhood of getting into our ocean and growing crazy, others are ok...
