New RO/DI system - Need to flush before I save the water?

Hope this is the right subforum to post, I just started to run my new RO/DI system. I installed a dual TDS monitor, IN is reading 300 ppm, OUT is reading 0 ppm, so I guess it is working. My question is do I need to 'flush' the system out for a little while before I can start to capture my RO/DI water?

Read the manufacturers instructions, but if memory serves, you should be able to use it after maybe 10-15 gallons of flushing
