I'm thinking of switching from my AI SOL Blue to PAR bulbs. I don't plan on keeping anything crazy. I have a few SPS in my tank currently and won't be adding any more after that. For the most part, I'll be doing mainly zoas, palys, other softies and a few LPS that I already have. Anyone out there using PAR bulbs now? If so, how do you like them? TIA

I own a RapidLED PAR38, as well as a Radion for my main tank. Owned AI's in the past. I wouldn't recommend it for a large display unless you're willing to buy a larger quantity of them. They have limited spread and in a bigger tank, can be spotlightish. But if that's the effect you like with your aquascape, then it may be for you. I run a PAR38 on my 4g pico and it does the job very well. I even have a birdnest at the top and it's still kicking. All in all, I'd keep the AI's.
