Ok guys so I need some help from others that might hav been through this. I recently sold my skimmer and I broke the rule and sold to someone in fl. I sent him an invoice through paypal that stated used skimmer sold as is. He paid and I shipped. He received it yesterday and complained that it had scratches and the front sticker was starting to peel. I informed him the scratches were there before I even bought it and the sticker peeled more once I cleaned it to send to him. Then he says the pump didn't come on twice in at test he did where he started it 20 times. He wants to ship it back. I said fine eve though I know the pump is perfect and NEVER stalled on me. I told him ship it back and I'll refund him the money minus any paypal fees. He gets all upset calls me dishonest and says I have to pay him everything and pay to ship it back. He then says he's gonna get paypal involved. So as far as paypal is concerned do I have a case since I stated " used as is"? What is the process here?

Paypal will not give him a refund. Paypal is there to protect people from getting scammed. Say u charged him, and never shipped it. Or u shipped him a skimmer, but no pump. Tell him to F off and good luck. Just make sure u have proof with pics and tracking numbers and u will be good 2 go

If you have tracking numbers and the invoice says "as-is", that and the email exchanges should be good enough to cover you. If he opens up a dispute PP will pull the money until they decide who is "right". It sounds like you'll be fine though.

I have all that. I really hate to be called dishonest. I'm not and anyone who's done business with me knows that. I knew I just should have sold locally

DUMB! Did you learn anything from my skimmer that was a scam? Guy literally broke it into 26 pieces including a pump in half! How the F do you crack a pump into half. I will tell how he fucking threw it after he got the parts he needed. He had a broken something and came up.

Never send a skimmer. People in this hobby for the most part are @$$holes and whiny.

That sucks Chris. Maybe you should reach out to PP as well and see what options you have and what the process is like.

You will be fine... if you stated as is then you are covered. Also, paypal will back you up because it is the buyers responsibility to pay for return shipping. Did you post a pic of what you were selling on the thread?

For sure don't give/send him anything without first getting your skimmer back and checking it over. You have been paid and he has the skimmer deal done:) You can be great to 1000 people there will always be the few who can't be happy no matter what and think they were wronged. Your a good guy anyone that matters knows that:)

Sounds like transaction complete. Buyer has no case except "item not as advertised" but u can argue as-is & buyer had opportunity for inspection through e-mail.

IMO paypal awards the argument to whoever does more thranactions through paypal & e-bay. Like when that chump tried to rip me off by not delivering the crosshatch trigger pair. I got my money back quick, i believe bc i give paypay lotsa $$$ monthly.

Only way I would refund not saying you should have to is he sends the skimmer back and you test it yourself. I doubt he'll do that but that's what I would suggest. If not, than its sorry your not happy but the sale was as is so you won't be getting a refund.

Dude think it through. It's a scratch, **** that guy. Don't have him send it back. He's done. Don't feel bad. You will feel worse when the skimmer comes back busted.

Further you only started this thread cause your a sweetheart and you don't even need his money. A real A hole ripping people off wouldn't ask our opinion. Sincerely let PayPal deal with it. Also talk to the mods on a the other forum just to taper any bad press.
