It doesn't look like the pump has the custom volute...unless you took it off.

The volute is the big white thing at the front of each motor block. And those are the RD custom volutes.

There should be another white piece at the tip of the pump thats adjustable to make further tuning of air draw..

Yes these are the fixed intakes. I'm gonna be trying to find a couple adjustable ones. If you know where I can find 2 lmk

Do some research before u buy them.
Jeremy from premium aquatics says the red insert works better then the adjustable one. As long as the skimmer sits in 9" of water, u won't need the adjustable one. According to Jeremy from PA

Once that beast is dialed in you'll be mass producing crude-oil quality skimmate in no time. It took me a while to figure mine out but man is it worth it! The body is super well constructed too! The collection cup cover is as heavy as a manhole cover!

Yes I am. I've had it for a few months but have been lazy and not put it in. Both will now go in together. I'll need to redo my drains also.

Details! Why are you changing your sump? What was wrong with the old layout? And what is this layout bringing?

I had wanted a bigger one for a long time. Then when I updated too the ro skimmer I knew I had to upgrade. When I was picking up my skimmer stand john was asking me about a bigger sump and then made me an offer I couldn't pass on. So incorporated the design with the direct pull up socks and made the skimmer section big. Sure glad I did
