iodine bath for 10 minutes, suck out as much as you can with a pipette and use a brush to scrub off the eggs. Watch it for several weeks in QT and repeat if necessary. Also yellow coris wrasses and dragon pipefish are known to eat them. HTH
I did the Kent Tech D dip....................the pics were taken when the dip was being done. I also scrubbed them w/ a toothbrush & tried to remove as many as possible. Since it's the only monti I have in my system, I'm not going to QT it plus that & I don't have a QT currently setup)................
man I agree with Nick, those guys are fat. They must be having a feast in there. but all jokes aside, I heard you have to manually pick them out. If its the only colony, I would just put together a qt for it. And not add anymore montis to your tank.
Here is a better method steve, take that frag, and dump it down the toilet...no seriously...you want to be sure, just dump it. And then take your other montis that were in the same system, and treat THEM, and keep close eye on them.
Damn................that's a pokerstar frag......................
I spoke w/ someone who's opinion I value very much & he told me to get a couple yellow coris wrasses..................He says that they are trainable...........Use a turkey baster to feed them mysis............they'll learn to associate the turkey baster w/ food...........take the turkey baster & blow off the nudis & the wrasses will have a field day. Since I have no other monti's in the tank, I think I'll give this a try.
Ya Gal & a few others told me it wasn't worth risking your entire tank for one infected frag................
I'm gonna go "monti-free" for a few months, just to make sure they are gone & done. We'll talk more @ RAP.................remember there are the spideys waiting for you at booth Q2..........
