I have the following fish for sale:

1 Large Black Tang
1 Med/Large Purple Tang
1 Med/Large Sailfin Tang

All have been Medicated Quarantined for 30 days and observed for an additional 30 days.

I also have an Angler for sale. Anglers are not susceptible to common fish parasites, as they "shed" their "skin" or external bio layer. They are also copper and medication sensitive. This one has "shed" in my care. This guy is eating goldfish and guppies.

I forgot to post that each of my quarantined fish comes with a weeks supply of the prepared frozen food I make in house that it has been eating here, so you have a supply to transition it to the food you would like to feed.

The prepared frozen foods will soon be available for purchase as well on a weekly delivery schedule in the LA and Orange County area. At least that is currently in the planning stages.

I don't believe gold fish are healthy for the angler. I know they are not for some other preditors as they can not dissolve their bones fast enough and they can clog up their stomach causing them to starve to death.

Humm... Interesting. The wholesaler that sent him to me by accident told me that was what they fed them. I will do more research. I've got an endless supply of guppies that I've been feeding him as well. Amazingly he has been eating frozen food if I get it close enough to him. He is not a fast mover, more like a moper.

Could you pint me to any information on the specific care requirements that mention specific diet for the Angler? I've spent quite a few hours reading up on this fish and it seems that it will eat just about anything and take days to digest it, which is what I have experienced with this one. I've had this one for a couple weeks now.

You could try getting him to eat frozen shrimp injected/dipped with selcon from what I know that’s the best way to keep them alive long term. I’ve seen alot of anglers start to fade and succumb to fatty liver disease if kept on freshwater live foods

Sorry, I do not have a link. Just something I picked up from one of the well know experts when I worked at Marine Depot. Sadly I do not remember who it was. Saltwater Glass shrimp and inexpensive damsels were what we typically fed them. I believe there are some preditor forums on various sites.

It’s not the bones I thought but thiamese inside the goldfish. It goes for all predators even snakes , a goldfish diet will lead to nutritional deficiency. I would switch to krill(still have thiamese) and mostly silverslides

That very well me be true as well. I was specificly told the can not digest goldfish bones fast enough and they build up and block them up.

I've got him eating frozen mysid enriched with Selcon (I almost go through gallons of this stuff). I have live brine and myside for him to catch as he likes now and will add krill and silversides to his diet.
