Hey,

I have two smaller tanks that I am thinking about consolidating into a larger tank, and I have a question about conflict and clowns. In each tank I have a matched pair of clowns that get along great. In fact both sets are doing mating dances (or at least that is what I believe they are doing), you know, when the wife takes the husbands wallet... true love. So my question is if I put 4 clowns in a 100g tank am I going to have long term conflict? The only other fish are a mandarin and a diamond goby.

I have a mated pair of maroons with a mated pair of black ocellaris in my 120 gallon....for the most part they are fine but they have their moments....like previously said, I think that by haveing two rock islands, helps stop alot of fighting over territory. That's what I have in my tank.

Update:
Well the clowns turned out different from what I expected, they paired up in inter-color pairs and split the tank up between them. Sometimes they all swim together and they definately all spend the night in a ball. The funny thing happened on Monday, we purchased a small blue tang and now he/she has joined one of the groups and the 3 of them swim together. Everyone is getting along. Just one fatality in thank move/consolidation, the cleaner shrimp died a few days ago. All parameters are awesome so far, going to do the first water change since setting up the tank.
