Any of you guys/gals got any tricks that maybe others haven’t done or thought about. I’m not talking about hooking up a button to your BOB to active a feed mode or something.
Ok so I’m not sure if anyone has done this but I’ll throw it out there.
So we all know are corals look better under a certain light spectrum. Some times is hard to get that spectrum right every time. I also am using gen1 radions with a WXM and it’s a bit tricky to mess with the spectrum in real time and have it hold for a bit.
So I setup a VO (virtual outlet) that I’ve labeled Show_Lights. This outlet triggers all my LEDs to go to a certain spectrum that is great for showing off the tank.
Here’s the VO
Here’s how I coded it in each radion
Here is the profile I use to put my radions in 18k
Not only do I have this setup on the radions but the show_light VO also runs the DIY rails
Here’s the profile I use to put the rails in the spectrum I want
So any of you reefers got some cool tricks you don’t mind showing off
