I am looking to get a controller. I'm looking to use it to control the heater and monitor via my phone. Between the two, which is better or preferred and why. Thanks.

50g DT and a 40g sump. I just want to make sure I don't fry my tank with a heater failure. and to be able to control an ATO. Other than that, lights are being controlled by the AI and my mp40 works fine without needing to add that to the controller

+1 on the Apex. I currently own both the Apex and RKL and the Apex is by far a better product. Not to say the RKL is not good for the money, but the Apex is extremely easy to use once it's set up. Although I don't have the RKL net module so I am not sure how their computer/phone app works.
