OK so I got my new membrane filters for my ro unit. I've replaced the filters but ever the membrane. My unit does not have a flush kit so I'm wondering how I should do this. Should I run the unit with the old di In it for some time then replace the di after or just run the unit with all the new stuff for a while before I use the water? Anything special I need to do in replacing the membrane? Thanks in advance guys

I flush unit with no media,
Then flush carbon for 20 mins
Then reassemble & good 2 go.
Pretty sure the membrane doesn't need flushing.

I know for the aquaticlife units the instructions are to not use the first 30g it makes with all new filters/membrane.

Assemble with the new filters and membrane and flush 5 gallons. After that u are good to go. Also u can get a reverse membrane flush kit and that will prolong ur membranes considerably. Hth

I'll get some stuff and put one in. Just need to know how to plumb it In. OK so now 15 min into the flush and test now shows it hovering between 98.5-99 rejection. That's pretty awesome if you ask me

You must have a doohicky (can't remember the name right now...reduction valve?) on your output line that matches the membrane (100 gpd, 75 gpd, etc.)

Restricting!!!! :)

Slows down the flow though the membrane or I believe you don't much water being 'filtered' through it.

Lol well yeah. It has a restrictor on the unit but they .Ade it sound like I needed a other one for the flush kit, or am I confused?

The restrictor you have on the unit is fitted into the flush kit and then it all goes inline where the restrictor came from.
