okay... so WHAT THE HELL....... i spent so much money on salifert test kits i expect them to be top quality. there is nothing wrong with their solutions but man.. i only used the test kit for around 10 times and the numbers already coming off of the syringe....

now even the 9 is gone. so i gotta pull around .8 of the solution and add .2 to it everytime i test O_O

Never had the numbers come off on mine either...and actually wash them in RO and dry them with a paper towel when done...

You should save all the syringes and vials from old test kits when you get new ones, just toss out the solutions & powders.

Anywho, that syringe is equivalent to a standard 1cc tuberculin syringe, you can get a box of 100 for $12, or get one free from a diabetic friend. It should fit the yellow dropper tip in the test kit, which is a standard 1-200 uL laboratory pipet tip.

I say equivalent because it is a european syringe. look at the tick marks, they use "," (commas) instead of decimal points, like 0.1 is "0,1" 1/100 is 0,01 and 1 million is 1,000,000 cause they like to be confusing.

or, be mean, call salifert and make them ship you one; the stamp costs 4x the syringe, LOL!

alright someone photograph the proper way of drawing the alk liquid, where is the piston suppose to be? I mean I could be doing it wrong. I always draw twice and push the black piston to the zero right on the line.

Who wants to school us?
