Can anyone fix a Samsung led tv cheaper then an authorized dealer? I'd hate to scrap a nice 60 inch that I seemed to have damaged....

No, but that would make sense. I damaged it moving it. Seems you can't touch the screen with your hands. Samsung says the screen is cracked but it's not visually just something internly.

I would imagine the parts to fix it wouldn't be worth fixing. Just like trying to replace a long panel on a fish tank. Time for an upgrade lol

Hey bud, still working in the same place. About to move in with the girlfriend so I may set up a tank just to play around with. They have been dry for a while as I was doing the apartment thing, so just getting back to it.

Did a tech already check to confirm that its cracked? If its the screen I'd imagine its super expensive to try And fix. Good luck.
Yeah they said probably over 1k. It's a smart tv so I hate to just toss it. Pretty frustrating as its barely used. Been sitting in its box for about 16 months.

Well congrats on the move and sucks to hear about the tv. Hope things work out for you.

I had a Samsung that cost almost 5k back in 2006 and day three of ownership my 1 year old son cracked the inner with a accidental head butt. Best Buy and Samsung said it was not worth fixing. I understand your frustration. With that said if you bought the TV at Costco they will fix or replace no questions asked for 2 years.

Unfortunately no but that is really good to know in the future. Maybe that's where I'll shop for tv ' s from now on.

Costco itself gives you 3 months. If you have an amex and use it to pay then amex gives you manufacturers warranty for a 2nd year too
